about
The title track and first official single from Road Warriors, the fourth album from rap duo Primal Winds, perfectly captures the rest of the album, with only a few exceptions. It’s a hip hop-heavy rock-rap hybrid with a high octane sound built to win over live audiences. Produced by Iron Wind with Mad Max-inspired raps from Wind and District Prime, the single also features Julian Swift, guitarist for Toronto punk band Cola Heads, who delivers a raw, heavy metal hook for the chorus.

lyrics
ROAD WARRIORS
[“…Dying time’s here!”]
Chorus [Julian Swift]
Road Warriors, out here trying to survive,
keeping hip hop alive when they grip the mic.
Road Warriors, ain't nowhere you can hide,
Shift the gear into drive and join in the fight.
Road Warriors, watch the action unfold,
Tearing up Fury Road once the fuel ignites.
Road Warriors, got ‘em losing control
to this hard rock and roll in the place tonight
Verse 1 [District Prime]
Run for your life or face a beatdown,
Got more street credit then he need now.
Fasten your seatbelt, start to freak out,
Not obeyin’ the speed, press till ya feet melt.
Drives like a mad man throughout the Badland,
Close enough to shoot your tire or gas can.
Set your ass on fire doing laps, kicking tracks and
Haunted by the past so we good to the last stand.
Driving over bodies that get thrown in front of us,
Pulling off stunts with sawed off shotguns.
Rocking it out like Lord Humungus,
Tripping real hard as if they took some fungus.
With the family gone, it set him off the rocker,
Quit the task force, became an ex-copper.
The Rockatanski that’ll top a land speed,
Put a stop to man’s greed before they get stronger.
Chorus [Julian Swift]
Road Warriors, out here trying to survive,
keeping hip hop alive when they grip the mic.
Road Warriors, ain't nowhere you can hide,
Shift the gear into drive and join in the fight.
Road Warriors, watch the action unfold,
Tearing up Fury Road once the fuel ignites.
Road Warriors, got ‘em losing control
to this hard rock and roll in the place tonight
Verse 2 [Iron Wind]
That’s a long road ahead, step on the gas.
Always running into trouble like I’m Mad Max.
Interceptor armed to the teeth,
Sawed-off shotgun under the seat,
No water for days or food for weeks.
Out here in the Badlands we get no sleep,
So to keep our sanity we rock to the beat,
Fighting off cannibals and war boy chiefs.
Killing the show, spitting that toxic flow,
A bad mofo like Immortan Joe.
As the dust storm approaches, it’s time to roll out.
The aftermath of the nuclear fallout,
Global warfare between the nations
killed the planet with radiation,
taking out war rigs with blades and spikes,
and watch them explode like dynamite.
Chorus [Julian Swift]
Road Warriors, out here trying to survive,
keeping hip hop alive when they grip the mic.
Road Warriors, ain't nowhere you can hide,
Shift the gear into drive and join in the fight.
Road Warriors, watch the action unfold,
Tearing up Fury Road once the fuel ignites.
Road Warriors, got ‘em losing control
to this hard rock and roll in the place tonight
