To celebrate the one year anniversary of Twin Flame - The Honeybear Saga, Mickey O’Brien’s love- and loss-themed project heavily influenced by the Tarot, the EP is reimagined and remixed by DJ Matto. Or rather, he reshuffles the deck. From his early days as the producer-DJ half of Vancouver, BC horrorcore duo Hidden Fortress to his current time as the producer-DJ of +/- out of Fukuoka, Japan, and his recent collaboration with Calgary, AB word wizard Touch on Electric Sheep, DJ Matto’s dark combo of synth and samples has long been a staple of the Hand’Solo Records sound.

Like the original, the remix EP poses the question: what can happen when two people unite, whose true selves are reflections of each other? What are the divine joys and human struggles of two 'twin flames' burning together in deep love? But DJ Matto’s production creates a completely different listening experience compared to the Fresh Kils production of the original. The excellent contributions of acclaimed jazz/pop vocalist Sarah Craig, singer Salvatori, West Coast rapper-singer Attikus, sax player Anthony Rinaldi, and scratch specialist Uncle Fester, remain an integral part of the project.
