The Dirty Sample is Crash Silverback and Max Prime is Max Muthaphukin’ Stax in Candy & Coombs, named for late, great Canadian entertainers John Candy (aka Uncle Buck) and Ernie Coombs (aka Mr Dressup). And like these two personalities merged as one (Uncle Dressup?) in The Fly transporter pod, the album is a mix of merry mayhem, moments of fantasy and dress-up, and even a bunch of life lessons, with the two rappers touching on topics of religion, pornography, greed, the hustle of life, and the pirate code. Plus plenty of that requisite rap braggadocio! The Dirty Sample provides his usual soulful sound for the backdrop, complete with plenty of snap, crackle and pop!
